Emergency Medical Service (HEMS)

The EC135 T3/P3 is the reference helicopter for HEMS, since it has been perfectly designed for emergency situations management and SAR missions (Search and Rescue).
The EC135 T3/P3 benefits from high capability and versatility to meet even the most critical operational requirements. Its design incorporates a lightweight cockpit layout, compact dimensions and remarkable performance with excellent outside visibility as well as a modular and flexible cabin arrangement.
Quick and easy patient loading is ensured via the large sliding doors on either side or the rear clamshell doors – even when rotors are running. During winch operations, patients can be easily transferred into the hovering helicopter. The EC135 T3/P3’s external sound signature – far below the strictest ICAO regulatory specifications – allows operations in close approach to hospitals, often situated in urban areas.

Search and Rescue (SAR)

The EC135 T3/P3 has excellent slope landing capabilities and perfect safety is granted during landing in confined areas with the presence of obstacles, thanks to the high main rotor and shrouded tail rotor. It can perform rapid interventions in high-risk situations, adverse weather, catastrophes and disasters, as well as emergencies such as floods, earthquakes, landslides and heavy snowfalls.

Off-shore (Oil & Gas)

The EC135 T3/P3 is particularly suitable for specific off-shore missions such as maintenance or inspections to wind turbines and harbor pilots transportation. This is due to the excellent outside visibility, exceptional maneuverability, long-range capability, twin-engine OEI and Cat A performance. In addition, the EC135 T3/P3 meets the requirements of Oil&Gas operations thanks to its high safety level, easy access to the cabin and its design, which allows for fast and simple maintenance, and always assures a high availability of service.

Aerial Work

The EC135 T3/P3 is equipped with a cargo hook of 1,300 kg of load and a double cargo hook Class D certified for HEC (Human External Cargo) operations. The double hook has a load of 1,000 kg (single hook) or 600 kg (HEC operations).
Furthermore, the helicopter can install a certified HEC hoist with a maximum load of 272 kg and 90 m of cable.

Fire Fighting

The EC135 T3/P3 is equipped with a cargo hook of 1,300 kg of load that allows the installation of a bambi bucket of 1,230 l. In addition, the helicopter can carry up to 6 rangers in the cabin plus the pilot and a technician.
Furthermore, a certified HEC hoist can be installed with a maximum load of 272 kg and 90 m of cable.

Law Enforcement

The EC135 T3/P3 is able to meet every operative mission. With its compact size and shrouded tail rotor, the EC135 T3/P3 can land in confined areas with little disturbance. Its wide, unobstructed cabin offers increased visibility for effective day and night observation missions.
The equipment that can be installed, such as cameras and search light, increase the operational capability of the EC135 T3/P3.
The helicopter’s flexibility, low external signature sound, reduced maintenance and operational costs and a higher availability rate make it a perfect platform for daily police operations.
