The wide unobstructed cabin can accommodate 2 pilots and up to 12 passengers in comfort configuration and up to 9 passengers in corporate configuration. The shape of the EC155 B1, from its distinctive nose to its rear “dorsal fin”, clearly distinguishes it as a member of the exclusive Dauphin family. The high-set main rotor and shrouded tail rotor enhance safety for boarding passengers and for ground crew. The two extra wide passenger doors with full-length boarding steps facilitate easy access to the cabin, and the large baggage compartment may be conveniently accessed from both sides of the aircraft, allowing quick loading of bulky luggage.
The EC155 B1 offers several configurations of 6, 7 or 8 seats, with or without cabinet. It is possible to customize it entirely with high end finishes.
In flight, passengers appreciate the panoramic view offered by the large windows. The EC155 B1’s state-of-the-art glass cockpit and avionics considerably reduce the pilot’s workload.

Latest and most modern helicopter belonging to a family which has almost achieved 5 million flight hours, the EC155 B1 is one of the safest medium size helicopters.
This helicopter is equipped with two powerful Turbomeca Arriel 2C2 engines, fitted with Dual-Chanel FADEC (Full Authority Digital Engine Control), plus an automatic backup channel, which is able to grant very high safety levels.
Its composite main rotor blades are corrosion-proof, thus ensuring an extremely long lifetime. When it comes to mission availability, the low level of maintenance per flight hour for the EC155 B1 is acknowledged by operators as a key feature of this helicopter.
In addition, this helicopter includes the EC225 digital 4-axis autopilot and all the necessary equipment to safely perform offshore missions: Traffic alert and Collision Avoidance System (TCAS), Automatic Voice Alarm Device (AVAD), external life rafts, Automatic Deployable Emergency Locator Transmitter (ADELT), Quick Access Recorder for Helicopter Flight Data Management and Moving Map linked to GPS.

Thanks to its spaciousness, the cabin can easily accommodate all the medical equipment and, if necessary, a second stretcher can be added in a few minutes. The wide lateral access allows a quick and easy embarkation and disembarkation of patients and rescuers.

Search and Rescue (SAR)

The EC155 B1 is fitted with a digital four-axis autopilot and outstanding state-of-the-art avionics equipment, such as a cutting-edge weather and research radar to safely perform search and rescue missions in demanding climatic conditions. In addition, the wide lateral access, the enlarged bubble sliding doors and the Category 1 rescue hoist simplify considerably SAR operations.

Law Enforcement

The EC155 B1’s high speed and long endurance make it an ideal tool for law enforcement operations ranging from patrol to airborne surveillance and special missions. With the largest cabin and lift capacity in its class, the EC155 B1 can transport SWAT units of up to 12 members, in addition to their equipment. Sophisticated law enforcement equipment can easily be loaded into the large baggage compartment, accessible from either side of the helicopter. The EC155 B1 offers unmatched visibility and an incredibly discrete noise level for effective surveillance operations.
