A well-known worldwide multirole helicopter, the EC145, upgraded version of the BK117, combines Airbus Helicopters cutting-edge technology with a modern cabin design, updated avionics, 3 axis autopilot, high tail and main rotor. Today, more than 600 EC145s are operating in every kind of mission.
The new EC145e configuration is thought particularly for Utility, Aerial Work and Fire-fighting missions.

Aerial Work

Airbus Helicopters projected a new version, the EC145e, which was thought on purpose for aerial work with VFR avionics and high load capacity.
The EC145e is the ideal platform for aerial work and cargo loading thanks to its unobstructed main cabin and its rear clamshell doors. This helicopter is easily reconfigurable, therefore, it is very flexible for every type of mission.
The EC145e was selected by the U.S. Army as the new multi-mission Light Utility Helicopter (LUH). The agreement allows the delivery of up to 345 helicopters, and so far, around 300 helicopters have been delivered.
